Topic: Tough Love - Driving Results through Accountability
Savvy leaders appreciate the bottom-line results a culture of accountability delivers to their organizations. Yet a survey by Greg Bustin of more than 1,000 executives in the U.S. and Canada identifies “lack of accountability” as the single greatest barrier to achieving the results they expect. If accountability is so important, why do so many leaders struggle with it? What’s so tough about tough love? Bustin interviewed senior leaders at four of Fortune’s Most Admired Companies – Container Store, Ernst & Young, Nucor and Southwest Airlines – to understand the critical steps executives must take to build, nurture and sustain a culture of accountability. He’ll examine the seven key components of an effective accountability culture and share tools, processes and action items to drive accountability in your organization.
